Getting banned is actually pretty hard if you're following the rules.

Don't be a powergamer

This is supposed to be a fun furry server where you can make interesting characters and enjoy serious roleplay in a mature envelopment. Space Station 13 makes for a pretty terrible combat sim, so if that's what you're looking for, perhaps you're better off playing something else. The reason people still play this janky game after all these years, is because of the huge depth of the mechanics. Try to roleplay your interactions with other people.

This is in the rules! Let security do their job. Unless someone attacks you first, you can't start attacking them.

Avoid whinny people

Ever notice some people on the station with a certain disposition about them? Bitchy attitude? OOC notes say she has a dick bigger than a soda can? Certain kinds of players are just predisposed to ahelp on any perceived slight against them, so it's best to just leave them alone. And of course, this server attracts a huge number of trolls who think it's hilarious to LRP, so admins will go into the conversation thinking you're one of them. The best method of avoiding bans starts with avoiding unwanted attention from admins. The station is huge. Go somewhere else.

Actually respond to admins in a timely manner

Lie your character down and focus on actually responding to the admin's questions. Being Disrespectful, Dishonest, Uncooperative, and Unrepentant is a great way to get fast-tracked to the shit list. Have a polite tone, and show a little piety. As stated before, Skyrat gets a lot of trolls, and while the sarcasm might be obvious to you, it might not be obvious to the admin dealing wi
