Traitor

So, you want to be a Traitor? The arguably much cooler guys than Nanotrasen, from sneaky spies to terrorists, you'll find there's something for everyone around here! That being said, it isn't all fun and games, failure to complete your job may or may not result in... "Termination" but let's not worry about that, you're a traitor and you wanna do traitor things, so we may as well start with the basics, pay attention, messing up in the field rarely ends well for a young agent.

Setting your intents.

On SkyRat, things work a bit different than what you may be used to, you aren't assigned an objective, you have to make your own! SO buddy o' pal, let's get those thinking hats on and hope you took creative writing in school, because it's time to make a story.

First things first, your story needs to actually make a semblance of sense, when making your ambitions, as they are called, please don't copy paste that Skyrim copypasta, because I'm sorry to say, but that isn't an objective, maybe your character was forced into the situation by the Syndicate, maybe your character needs money to pay off loan sharks, hell, maybe your character is just a bit of an asshole, the possibilities are endless! (you can find the ambitions menu in the IC tab while an antagonist) the purpose of an antagonist on the server to create fun and interesting scenarios for the crew, we want everyone to have fun, so don't make your ambitions some murderbone nonsense.

You'll also notice a option for severity, this can range from stealth to extreme, this is pretty self explanatory, how much damage are you going to cause exactly? The severity options give an indicator of the kind of crimes that may fall under that level, anything set as severe or higher will automatically mark your ambitions for admin review

Tools of the trade

Now look, we really do believe in you, but you aren't going to take on the station without a little bit of gear, are you? As a traitor you have a hidden uplink built into your PDA! To access this, open your PDA and go to messages, you should see an option to set ringtone at the top, simply open that and enter the code you were given! (can be checked in notes) for more information, including the kind of things you'll actually be able to get, check here

Tips and tricks

    • Do not order your gear prematurely, as this could get you caught in the event of a random search.
    • Do not be afraid to run away, fighting is not always the best option.
    • There is a high chance that there are other traitors on the station with you - why not find out if you can co-operate?
    • Do not be afraid to bribe people. Many will simply ignore your wrong-doings for a bonus to their salary.
    • You can hold people at gunpoint by holding down shift and middle-clicking your target.
    • Use your job to create plausible deniability. Are you a doctor? If your target is brought in, well, surgeries don't always go well, right?
